One of the things I think so, so very, very, very important is to know that you are supposed to dare to play it BIG and the only way to do that is to jump.
What good are your talents and dreams if they stay in your mind, if they stay deep in your soul or you don't believe it could happen. People need you! They need your work, your passion, your skills, and your talents. Don't waste it by being afraid to jump.
For years I was too afraid to actually take the leap of faith and just jump. Jumping into the unknown (where your dream lie) is like walking on hot coals. Your mind is telling you that in no way is this possible. And yet that is exactly what jumping is...possible and actually probable.
Breaking through fear is what allows us to jump into the unknown, and jumping is the first step into your dream. Fear veils the truth of what is holding us back. And fear is the guidepost to change. Without fear there is no change and no forward movement, without fear there is stagnation, and without fear there is no growth. None. I am asking you to let the sun set on the old you and bring in the YOU that you know you already are.
What will you do when opportunity presents itself? Do you even notice the signs, hints, and indicators? Do you want to think about it some more? Do you hesitate? Do you say to yourself, I’ll do it…tomorrow…once I have all the facts…finished (fill in the blanks) before I…?
How do you know it's time to jump? You know you’re ready when your life becomes so much like the life of someone else’s life. You know you’re ready when you look in the mirror and see someone else, not your true inner self, your personal identity, not your social identity. And at that very moment you have a choice (remember that we always have choice).
You can continue to be (actually act like) the one that you know deep inside is not the real you. You can continue to wear the social identities that people refer to you as. You can continue to believe in this fake you. You can continue to wait to jump until (you fill in the blank: the kids grow up, I get a raise, one more thing is said). Or you can say to the mirror (to your soul-your higher self, your future self),
YES! I am ready! I'm going to (fill in the blank) and I don't care about what happens because I trust the universe has my back. I have to jump because the pain, the pain is too much to stay like this and I am choosing life. I am choosing my soul’s passion. I am choosing the life I dream of, the life I know can be mine if I dare. The life I know I want to live every day-a life I love.
Do you dare? I want to see you be brave. I want to see you be honest. I want to see YOU! Do you see me seeing you?
How can you be sure the net is even there? The net is there when you are ready! You won’t get any proof…it’s a moment of faith and you don’t get to see the net until you’ve jumped. And you create the net through visualizing, the world, and being in the world as you would want it to be. Don’t dwell on what your life isn't, that won’t get you there. Visualize how you want your life to look. Why is it that you can (so easily) focus on the negative and the what-ifs instead of the possibility of what could be? You trained yourself to avoid the possibilities of a beautiful life by playing the same old tired song over and over again. And by listening to those who know that song and who love teaching that same song to others.
I want you to for a full day to think of what you can have in life, what life can look like, and the life that is ready for you, not what you don't have.
There will be a time when you believe everything is finished. That will be the beginning.~ Louis L’Amour
